At **Habit Ally**, we believe that your data belongs to you. This application is built from the ground up to be private by design. It operates exclusively as a local-only web application, meaning all data you create, input, or save remains on your local browser and device at all times.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers under any circumstances.
* **No Personal Information Required**: We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying credentials.
* **No Analytics or Tracking**: We do not track how you navigate the application, and we do not use third-party analytics software, telemetry, or advertising tracking cookies.
* **No Cloud Synchronization**: By default, your data is never uploaded to a cloud database or shared with us or any third party.

## 3. Local Storage
The application utilizes the browser's native **localStorage API** to save your habit configurations, check history, and weight logs directly on your hardware.
* This data is sandbox-stored by your browser.
* We have absolutely no technical means of accessing, viewing, or recovering this data.
* If you clear your browser's site data, cache, or delete the local storage, this data will be permanently deleted.

## 4. Third-Party Services
Because the application runs entirely client-side, there are no third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) or external APIs integrated into the experience. 
* **External Links**: The landing page and app include links to external resources (such as GitHub, YouTuber Ali Abdaal's website, or Cyber Alliance India's site). Once you leave our domain, the privacy policies of those respective sites apply.
* **Manual Backups**: When you export your data, the resulting JSON file is saved to your local downloads folder. It is your responsibility to secure this file.

## 5. Device Security
Since your data resides entirely on your device, its safety depends on your browser security and device settings. We recommend keeping your web browser and operating system updated, and securing your device with password/biometric locks.

## 6. Policy Updates
We may update this policy occasionally as we introduce new features. Our core privacy commitment remains absolute: any future features involving cloud backups or cross-device syncing will be strictly **opt-in only**.
